His first taste of circuit racing was in a Mini Challenge car that belonged to his dad, Simon. Even in his first competitive outing, he was close to breaking track records!
Soon after, Ryan switched to a 2011 Audi R8 and took the racing scene by storm. He won his debut race in the Trophy Class at Eastern Creek and continued his winning spree in the Australian GT Championship. This championship is known for its fierce competition, but that didn't deter Ryan. Although a mechanical failure led to a crash that cut short his GT3 championship run, Ryan’s racing spirit remained unshaken.
